What is a shelf company?

A shelf company is a legal entity created in advance and lies on the shelf of a registered agent until a buyer is found. After the purchase of the company, the registration agent enters the data of the client – a third party who can carry out activities on behalf of the company immediately. There are a number of advantages when buying a ready-made company:

  • Shelf companies are often more expensive than newly incorporated companies due to their age.
  • Bank Account: Please note that our shelf companies do not have linked bank accounts. Because any bank needs to know the ultimate beneficial owner of the account. For this reason, changing the beneficial owner of an existing bank account will take longer than opening a new account for the company. Some firms sell companies with bank accounts, but this is done to attract customers. As a result, the ultimate owner will be forced to spend more time changing the account owner. Therefore, we recommend opening a new bank account.
